COMMERCIAL
A & A Worm Farm Waste Systems are ideal for processing
high volumes of liquid and solids. The scale of the
filter is changed to match the site requirements.
WHOLE TOWNS
Developers of new estates can reduce head works costs
and provide a far more sustainable sewerage and garbage
waste water system.
Where there are existing septic tanks in place we can
convert them to Worm Farm Waste Systems providing the
chamber size is at least 1800 litres and in good condition.
The liquid from domestic households would be kept on
site. Commercial businesses may need to be pumped to
Parks and Gardens depending on the size of the site
and liquid volumes.
In high rainfall areas the liquid from these Worm Farms
could be pumped onto Parks and Gardens.
Where there is existing sewerage systems which may require
upgrading, a large Worm Farm could be created within
the existing pondage areas and the garbage from the
local community added to it.
FUNCTION FACILITIES
The A & A Worm Farm Waste System is ideal for irregular,
high volume use. A system designed for dealing with
200 or 300 people will work just as well with 20 or
30 people, meeting the requirements of function facilities
which have high and varied usage. The solid processing
and liquid flows may be varied without the system malfunctioning.
The costs associated with servicing a unit like this
are negligible compared to traditional sewerage treatment
systems.
AGED CARE FACILITIES
The mix of liquids and solids entering a Worm Farm
Waste System in an Aged Care facility make no difference
to its operation. The medications are so diluted and
the system so robust that it operates normally under
these conditions.

SCHOOLS
Schools tend to have high levels of paper waste and
low liquid levels. Apart from worms, tiger slugs play
a major role in the processing of this material. The
reduction to landfill from schools will be 75%. A garbage
disposal chute is placed over the centre of the chamber
suitable for a wheely bin to directly dispose of the
waste. Provision is made in this chute for children
to post their food scraps through a flap similar to
a bulk mail opening on an Australia Post Mail Box.
FARM WASTES
Dairy and other animal wastes can be processed in scaled
up versions of the A & A Worm Farm Waste System.
The benefits over traditional waste and wash down treatment
is that no anaerobic ponds are required and the stored
water volume would be half to one third of conventional
aerobic ponds. The solids processed by the worms are
added to soils in a format where they are taken up by
plants and vegetation.
APARTMENTS
Depending on the layout and design, these can be done
in a number of small modules spread evenly across the
site giving access for garbage. Shower water may be
collected in a grey water re-use system, processed and
returned to flush toilets reducing water balance by
30-50%.
An example of this, the Westwyck project at Brunswick,
Victoria.
Transpiration may be through grass paved car parks,
specially designed wetland beds and any excess run off
to Parks and Gardens.
HOTELS/MOTELS
One of the largest infrastructure costs in establishing
Hotels and Motels is sewerage and waste treatment. Worm
Farm Waste Systems may be placed in room groupings so
that garbage can be distributed easily from the rooms
and kitchens. Garden watering would then be provided
from each of the Worm Farms to the local area surrounding
it.
RESTAURANTS
We have had installations in restaurants since 1998
and as the business has grown the Worm Farms performance
grew with it. All garbage from food preparation and
including paper table cloths and napkins are processed
in the Worm Farm system. The cost of removing food waste
is zero as it is all placed in the Worm Farm Waste System.
FOOD MANUFACTURERS
Worm Farm Waste Systems are faster at processing food
solids than any other composting or worm based system.
They are turbo charged compared to other systems.
Reduction to landfill is huge. Food and organic waste
may be turned into a rich, balanced fertilizer. High
volume of liquid food wastes may be processed by combining
solid waste and sewerage.
Worm Farm Waste Systems suit a wide variety of food
manufacturers, such as biscuit manufacturing, food canning,
sea food processing, market waste, bread bakers etc.
