The Flavorite Project
The toilet block in the You Yangs Regional Park is Parks Victoria’s busiest with 400 people per day using the facility. Standard septic tank system could not cope and the smell was over powering.

The Commercial Septic Tank Systems at Flavorite Tomatoes, Copelands Road, Warragul has been designed and built to process all wastewater, sewage and organic matter generated by the Flavorite and its 470 employee’s.
In the space of a decade, Flavorite Tomatoes has become Australia’s largest greenhouse tomato production, packaging and marketing business, and a significant employer of skilled and semi-skilled workers, not only in the Gippsland region, but also throughout Australia. The company produces 4000 tonnes of tomatoes a year and holds 60 per cent of the Australian market. The business has grown to 190,000 sq metres of production area to date. With a planting density of three plants per square metre, the new facility at Warragul houses 50,000 tomato plants. The life of a plant is between nine to 12 months and each plant will produce 20 to 25kg of tomatoes.
By 2021, the Flavorite vision tells us that over half of Australia’s tomatoes will be grown in glasshouses, generating sales of over $200 million and creating many thousands of jobs throughout Australia.
