Mercy Regional College Noorat

Mercy Regional College needed a Worm Farm Waste System for their Noorat campus

Noorat is a small township in southwestern Victoria, Australia. Noorat is located approximately 211 km west of Melbourne. The township is located at the base of Mount Noorat, a dormant volcano, which is considered to have Australia’s largest dry crater.

At the 2006 census, Noorat had a population of 252. By 2011, according to the census, the population had dropped to 167, although this drop in numbers is a bit deceptive as the town boundary was changed in between the 2006 and 2011 census.

According to Mercy Regional College, the Noorat campus has been operating since the early 1900’s. In fact, the Catholic parish school was started in 1886 Camperdown.
